Olatokunbo Amosu is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He is a lawyer by training with a bias in Maritime Law and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990. Tokunbo has over 24 years work experience in Law, Finance, Shipping and Oil Trading and Operations; 10 of these in Senior/Executive Management positions.
Before joining the Honeywell Group, he worked as Counsel in the law firm of M.A.O Ojelade & Co; Manager, Legal Services Asset Finance Limited and Company Secretary/Legal Adviser - Perpetual Savings and Loans Limited. Whilst working in the finance sector, he undertook training in Treasury Management, Credit Management and Supervisory Management.
He joined the Legal Department of the Honeywell Group in 1995 and was transferred to one of the subsidiaries of the Group - Tiko Marine Services in 1997 as pioneer Operations Manager and founding Staff responsible for managing the company's vessels, trading and bunkering activities.
He was given enhanced responsibilities after the merger of Tiko Marine Services and HOGL Energy Ltd. His responsibilities spanned trading, vessel management and operations. Tokunbo has attended specialized courses at the Centre for Petroleum Studies, Oxford namely: International Oil Trading, Supply Refinery and Transportation, Tanker Ownership and Operations, International Oil Trading and Pricing, Total Risk Management in the International Oil and Derivatives Market and Understanding the Global Lubricants Business.
Before his promotion to the position of Managing Director of HOGL, he was the Chief Operating Officer and was part of the team responsible for the turnaround of the company. Tokunbo is married with Children
